Yesterday, Sunday the 27th, we had the Sunday mass -and of Calasanz- presided over by Pedro da Cruz, the first solemn mass of the first Timorese Piarist. Everything was prepared by a commission from the Christian community of Makili. The reception the day before, songs, music, mass, kissing hands, cultural events, dances, public address system, the place to celebrate and meals on both days. A great effort from everyone that makes us feel like a community.
Pedro was also accompanied by several relatives. He presided concelebrating with the parish priest of Ataúro (Fr. Guido Pereira), with Fr. Daniel and Deacon Ewaldus (who will be ordained on October 2 in Atambúa).
The joy of the reunion and the first ordained Timorese Piarist filled the two days. God willing that all this bear fruit and other new Timorese Piarists will be added… (or Timoreskolápio).
